| Jim Waltze joined Griffith Company in 1973, and steadily climbed the ranks to become President in 1992. Jim has been responsible for initiating many of the Company’s most successful recent strategies, including the decision to developed specialty structure, underground and materials divisions. He was the driving force behind the Company’s transition to computerized estimating and project management systems, resulting in increased efficiency and accuracy. Under Jim’s leadership, Griffith Company bid on and was awarded many of the largest and most complex projects to date. These projects include the $37-million Port of Los Angeles Seaside Project, which received the Build America and AGC Constructors Awards. More recently, Jim played a key role in winning the $71-million Pier T Project at the Port of Long Beach. Jim's industry involvement extends beyond Griffith Company. He served as the Highway Division Chairman for the National AGC in 1995 and served as the President in 2004. In 2008, Jim was elected President of the Beavers. Under the vision and leadership of Jim Waltze, Griffith Company continues to evolve as the industry evolves, identifying new opportunities for growth. |
